Le meraviglie della prospettiva – 21 December 2019

At the end of the Leonardian year and on the anniversary of Masaccio’s birth (21 December 1401), Florence dedicates a day to the meeting between Art and Science thanks to the synergy between Gallerie degli Uffizi, Museo Galileo Museum and Museo di Palazzo Vecchio with MUSE. At Palazzo Vecchio the hall of the scenographic workshop Magnifici Apparati Prospettici, rebuilt for the occasion in 2001 by Gianni Miglietta and Stella Battaglia, will be reopened to the public.

Reachable thanks to a secret passage in the Hall of Geographical Maps, the environment is magical and magnificent, full of interactive devices and capable of involving children and adults in the knowledge of techniques and tools of perspective, from antiquity to the present day.

The artist Stella Battaglia will be present to illustrate the principles that inspired the realization of the scenographic workshop.
